Oil India to expand NELP III (RJ-ONN-2001/1)


Oil India to expand NELP III (RJ-ONN-2001/1) block in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan with an investment of Rs. 42 million. It will water based mud to drill the wells and land required for each well will be 75 m X 100 m (7500 m2).

Niko Resources to carry out exploratory Drilling in CY-ONN-2003/1, Cauvery Block


Niko Resources to carry out exploratory Drilling in CY-ONN-2003/1, Cauvery Block in Tamil Nadu. The project envisages drilling of 5 exploratory wells at different depths between 1500 m and 3000 m depending on the geological conditions in the phase -1 in CY-ONN-2003/1, Cauvery Block in Tamilnadu. All the five wells falls within Nagapattinam district in Tamilnadu. Each of well drilling under phase -1 will require an area of 1.56 ha. The company will use only water based mud for drilling activity.The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 331.6 million.

ONGC to carry out exploratory drilling at Assam Arakan Fold Belt Block


in  Baramura-Gojalia-Tulamura Area, South Tripura district of Tripura. . It may be noted that so far 16 wells have been drilled in this area. It is proposed to drill fifteen more wells in this area to increase the production of natural gas. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 2207.4 million.

in  Khowai-Kalyanpur Area, West Tripura district. So far 16 wells have been drilled in this area of which eleven are gas wells and five are dry wells. It is proposed to drill four more wells to increase the production of natural gas. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 657.8 million.

in  Konaban-Manikyanagar Area, West Tripura district. It may be noted that already 81 wells have been drilled in this area of which 44 are gas wells and 37 are dry wells. It is proposed to drill 11 more wells to increase the production of gas. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 2006.1 million.

in Kunjaban-Bamutia Area, West Tripura district. Already three wells have been drilled of which one is gas well and two are dry wells. It is proposed to drill one well  KUAD in North Agratala area  falling in barren undeveloped hilly area. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 166.4 million

in  Karimganj  Area in Karimganj district of Assam. Already 18 wells have been drilled in the above block at locations in Adamtila, Patharia & Langai. Adamthila gas field is located in this area. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 490 million

in Cachar Area, Cachar district of Assam.  It is proposed to drill two wells namely MPM-1 and RPM-1. Already two wells have been drilled in the area of Pahtimara and Tukbai. Only water based mud will be used. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 315 million.

Reliance Industries to carry out offshore drilling at Block MN-DWN-2003/1(MN-V-D4) in Bay of Bengal


Reliance Industries is to carry out exploratory drilling at Block  MN-DWN-2003/1(MN-V-D4) in Bay of Bengal. It will carry out drilling of 15 exploratory wells at a depth of 2000 -2600 meters. The block is located at a distance of 110 km from the coast. It is proposed to use Water based mud (WBM) or Synthetic Based Mud ((SBM) or both based on the requirement. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 15000 million.
