South Eastern Coalfields to expand Bagdeva Underground Coal Mine

South Eastern Coalfields to expand Bagdeva Underground Coal Mine in village Bagdeva, Tehsil Katghora in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. The project involves expanding existing Bagdeva Underground Coalmine Project (UGP) from 0.24 MTPA to 0.60 MTPA rated capacity and expanding lease area from 340.97 ha to 502.60 ha. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 436.49 million.

Jayswal Neco to open a Gare IV/8 Coal Mine Project in Raigarh

 

Jayaswal Neco is to open a new Gare IV/8 coal mine project located at Khamaria and Karwahi village in Gharghoda taluk in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 1.2 mtpa from mining area of 491 ha. The mined coal is to be used for sponge iron plant located at Siltara, 16 kms from Raipur. It will be of both open cast mining as well as underground mining. The project cost is estimated around Rs.710 million.
