RINL to develop captive iron ore mine in Rajasthan

Rashtirya Ispat Nigam Ltd is starting up initial works on its first captive iron ore mine in Rajasthan. The company has received a LOI from the state government. The iron ore mine has a reserve potential of 250 million tonnes and is spread over 900 hectares. The company has also bid for 26 mines across the country. RINL is one of the larger producer in the country so far without a captive iron ore mine. Tata Steel and SAIL has captive iron ore mines. Currently, the company sources iron ore from NMDC
