ONGC to carry out exploration in Block BS(3) CBM 2003/II at Banaskantha in Gujarat It is proposed to drill eight core wells and two test wells. The drilling depth will be 1100-1650 m. Water based drilling mud will be used. The ONGC will acquire the land temporarily for preparation of site and approach road. The area comprises the semi-arid cultivable land and there is no surface water in the area except during the monsoon season. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 1664 million.
