Oil India to carry out exploratory on-Shore Drilling in NELP II Block of RJ ONN-2001/1 in Pinodah West in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. The Block is midst of the Thar Desert bordering Pakistan. 6 more wells will be drilled in the area. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 42 million.

Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation to carry out exploration at Block CB-ONN-2002/3 under NELP-IV


Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation to carry out exploration at Block CB-ONN-2002/3 under NELP-IV in Sanand Miroli Block in Cambay Basin in Mehsana district of Ahmedabad. It will undertake the activity in joint-venture with Prize Petroleum Company Ltd., Jubilant Capital Pvt. Ltd.(JCPL) and Geog Global Resources (Barbados) Inc. It proposes on-shore exploratory drilling for 17Nos. Wells in Block CB-ONN-2002/3 under NELP-IV. Seismic survey has been completed for the area. The area is mainly agricultural land with shrubs. The major surface water bodies are Sabarmati river and Narmada Canal. The total Block area is 285 sq. km and is divided into two parts, Part A is Sanand Block and is 132 sq. km and Part B is Miroli comprising of 153 sq. km.  

The project will be undertaken in three phases with an investment of Rs. 100 million.

ONGC to carry out explorartory drilling at Charda -Mansa Block EXT-I PEL Block


ONGC to carry out explorartory drilling at Charda -Mansa Block EXT-I PEL Block in Mehesana district of Gujarat. The total area of the project is 64.4900 sq. km. The total PEL area is 43.73 sq. km . Total 29 nos. of wells have been drilled in the area and present production is 12 KLPD. In present proposal 2 additional wells are proposed to be drilled as an extension of existing operations. The land for wells are yet to be acquired. The requirement land for each well is about 110x160 sq.m.

ONGC to drill developmental wells at Anleshwar in Gujarat


ONGC to drill developmental wells at Anleshwar Asset in Bharuch district of Gujarat. Required area per drill site will be about 130  X 130 sq. m. The average cost to drill one well will be Rs. 58.9  million. The total cost for drilling of 52 wells is Rs 3060 million. (Approximate value ). 33 wells (19 wells in 2007-08, 14 wells 08-09), avg. depth 3100 mtrs (approx) are planned at North of Narmada river. 19 wells (8 wells in 2007-08, 11 wells 08-09), avg. depth 850  mtrs (approx) are planned at South of Narmada river.
