Western Coalfields to expand Pipla UG mines located in Nagpur district of Maharashtra. The proposed rated capacity fo the mine is to be expanded from 0.18 mtpa to 0.25 mtpa. It may be noted, a National Highway (Nagpur-Bhopal) passes through the ML. UG mining is by hydraulic sand stowing. The entire coal mined will be transported by aerial ropeways to Boarari TPS.
