ONGC is to renew its Sibsagar Oilfield exploration project at Assam

ONGC is to renew, upgrade and modernize its Sibsagar oilfields. The existing facility is 20 years old and needs revamping to sustain production. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 22301.5 million and will be completed by 2010. It is planning to install modern process control equipment at Lakwa, Lakhmani, Rudrasagar, Geleki and Moran in Sibsagar District and Koraghat, Boroholla and Jorhat CTF in the Jorhat district of Assam.
