Tata Steel Ltd to carry out mining at Kotre Basantpur Pachmo Coalmine Project at Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 5 mtpa. The project also involves setting up of coal beneficiation plant with 5 mtpa throughput capacity. It may be noted, A few seasonal nalas, Jhumra nala, Pachmo nala, and Bhagriya nala crossing the leasehold area outflow into the Chutua nala, would be diverted temporarily to adjacent water body during the mine operations and realigned at the exit point to join the Chutua nala.
