Mysore Minerals is expanding its Yadwad Limestone Mine, located at village Yadwad, in Gokak Taluk, in Belgaum district of Karnataka from its current capacity of 0.03 mtpa to 0.15 mtpa with an investment of Rs. 9.7 million. The mines has an estimated mineable reserves of 20.77 mt. Method of mining will be open cast semi-mechanised.
The company is also expanding its Katageri Dolomite Mine from its current capacity of 0.03 mtpa to 0.15 mtpa with an investment of Rs. 9.6 million. The mine is located at village Katageri, in Taluk Badami in Bagalkot district of Karnataka. The dolomite reserve of this mine is estimated at 94.36 MT. It will use open cast semi mechanised mining.
The company is also expanding its Lokapura (West) Limestone Mine from 0.12 mtpa to 1.5 mtpa located at village Lokapura West in Mudhol taluk in Bagalkot district of Karnataka. The estimated mineable reserves is at 29.16 mt. It will use open cast mecahnize mining technology with limited blasting. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 80 million.
