Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation to carry out exploratory drilling at CB-ONN-2000/01 Block in Ahmedabad. The Block is in the Districts of Ahmedabad, Anand and Mehsana in Gujarat. Detroj, Baola and Wanalawa are the major townships in the Block and Sabarmati River, Fatehwadi Reservoir are in the area. Muhammad Begadas Tomb at Sarkhej and Khans mosque at Dholka Lothal the Historical/archaeological monuments- are 6 km away from the site. Petroleum exploration license (PEL) and NOC from District Collectors have been obtained. Each well will be of 110 m x 110 m. Exploration will be carried out in 3 phases. Phase I will be of 30 months consisting of production from 3 wells, collection of reservoir data, fracture analysis and geological model. The depth of the wells will be 1500 m - 1800 m. Phase II and III will comprise of seismic survey and drilling of 2 exploration wells of 1500 m depth.
