Sasan Power is to carry out coal mining at Moher Amlohri opencast coal mine project located at village Moher, Amlohri & Nuagarh in Waidhani Taluk in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh. The proposed mining capacity is 12 mtpa (normative) and can have a peak production of 16 mtpa.

Northern Coalfields to expand Jayant open cast coal mine project.

Northern Coalfields is expanding its Jayant Opencast coal mine project from its current 9.0 mtpa to 12.5 mtpa. The project is located at village Garda in Singraulli tehsil in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. The expansion in mining area is from 2464 ha to 2704 ha. The company is also expanding its Bina-II opencast coal mine project located at village Bina in Dudhi tehsil in Sonebhadra district of UP. from 4.5 mtpa to 6.0 mtpa.
