ONGC to carry out exploratory drilling at PEL Block in Contai in West Bengal. Contai PEL Block, a nomination block, is located in the Medinipur district of West Bengal state. It is noted that 2D & 3D seismic survey have been carried out and one exploratory well Gobindpur-1 (GB -1), has been drilled in this block. Project is of exploratory in nature to explore the Hydrocarbons by Drilling three wells. Already one well has been drilled in this block and it is planned to drill 3 more exploratory wells.
