Jindal Steel & Power to explore Jeraldaburu Iron Ore Mine, located at West Singhbum district of Jharkhand. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 6 mtpa. It will use open cast mechanized mining involving drilling and blasting. No beneficiation plant is proposed as part of this project, however, there will be three stage dry crushing and screening.
Hindalco Industries to carry out mining at Hisri (Old) Bauxite Mine located at Lohardaga district of Jharkhand. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 0.11 mtpa. It will use open cast mechanized mining with blasting operations with concurrent backfilling. The company also plans to new Hirsi mine with a production of 0.102 mtpa of bauxite.
Rameshwara Jute Mills to expand Baraiburu Tatiba Iron & Manganese Ore Mine located at villages Baraiburu and Tatiba in West Singhbum district of Jharkhand. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is to be expanded from 300 tpa to 4000 tpa. It will carry out opencast by semi-mechanised mining with drilling and blasting.
Horizon Loha Udyog to set up a new mine at Seta Ruia Iron ore mine located at West Singhbum district of Jharkhand. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 1.0 mtpa. It will use open cast mechanized mining with drilling and blasting operations. It may be noted, the mine lease area falls under Ghatkuri Reserve forests and is cris-crossed by several nallahs originating from Gua Hill in the NE and flowing towards SW and ultimately joins Koina river.
Anindita Traders & Investments to carry out mining at Parambaljori Iron & Manganese Mine located at village Parambaljori in West Singhbum district of Jharkhand. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 133 780 tpa. It will carry out opencast semi-mechanised mining involving drilling and blasting. It may be noted, Betlata nallah passes through the mine lease. The estimated life of the mine is 22 years.
