Kashmir Sapphire Cements is to carry out mining at Khonmoh, in Srinagar. The company is to open a new mine with a rated capacity of 25000 tpa of limestone to meet its captive requirement. It will use open cast manual mining involving blasting. Due to the local weather condition, mine will be in operation only during March to November.
