Exploration for iron ore is to be carried out at Capilagaichem Guedd Iron Ore Mine located at village Arvalem in Bicholim taluk in North Goa district of Goa. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 0.402 mtpa with a mineable reserves of 3.153 mt. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 61.6 million. The actual mining area of iron ore will be 15.20 ha.
Exploration for iron ore is to be carried out at Carcariatemb Bombod Iron Ore Mine located at village Tudou in Sangem taluk in South Goa district of Goa. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 0.80 mtpa from a mineable reserve of 7.184 mt. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 200 million. It will not use drilling or blasting but to use open cast mechanized mining. The mining activity is to be carried out by a private operator.
Shantilal Khushaldas & Bros Pvt Ltd is to open Chuninimol Iron Ore Mine, located at village Rivona in Sanguem taluk in South Goa district. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 0.20 mtpa from a mineable reserve of 2.639 mt. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 44.5 million.
Exploration for iron ore is to be carried out at Devapan Dongar Iron -Manganese Ore Mine located at village Caurem in Quepem taluk in South district of Goa. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 0.30 mtpa from a mineable reserves of 5.99 mt. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 50 million. The mining will be of open cast mechanized without any drilling or blasting.
