Tisa Moraes Mining Industries is to open Ubeafatricho Dongor Iron Ore Mine project located at villages Pirla and Maina in Quepem Taluk in South Goa district in Goa. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 0.10 mtpa from a mineable reserves of 8.65 mt. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 8.7 million. It will use open cast mecahnized mining.
Exploration for iron ore is to be carried out at Carmolachem Moll Cudnem Iron Ore Mine, located at Cudnem village in Bicholim taluk in North Goa in Goa. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 0.10 mtpa from a mineable reserves of 0.867 mt. It may be noted that the mine was not in operation for many years and its last operation was in seventies. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 15.7 million.
Kantilal & Co to carry out mining at Asni Dongor Iron Ore Mine located at villages Cudri & Curpem in Sanguem Taluk in South Goa district of Goa. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 0.10 mtpa from a mineable reserves of 1.76 mt. The mines have not been in operation for 41 years and the company is reviving it now. It will use open cast mining without blasting. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 6.7 million.
Kanitlal & Co to carry out mining at Ganesh Gudi Dongor Iron and Manganese Ore Mine, located at village Netrolim in Sangeum taluk in South Goa district of Goa. The proposed rated capacity of manganese ore is at 0.02 mtpa and iron ore is at 0.08 mtpa from a mineable reserves of 0.983 mt of iron ore and 0.429 mt of manganese ore. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 10.5 million.
The company is also carrying out mining operations at Dobacho Dongor Iron and Manganese Ore Mine located at village Netrolim in Sanguem taluk. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 0.089 MTPA and 0.011 MTPA of iron ore and manganese ores respectively from a mineable reserves of 1.163 MT (Iron Ore) and 0.274 MTPA (Mn Ore). The project cost is estimated at Rs. 5.3 million
