Gujarat Ambuja Cements to carry out limestone mining at Singsar limestone mining project located t Junagadh district of Gujarat. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 3 mtpa of limestone. The limestone will be transported to cement plant at a distance of about 12 km through tippers and conveyor belt.
Ashapura Minechem to carry out mining at Mahadevia and Gandhvi Bauxite Mining Project located at Jamnagar district of Gujarat. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 0.5 mtpa of bauxite and is to use open cast mechanized mining using surface mining technology.
Tata Chemicals is to carry out mining operations at village Ranavav in Porbander district of Gujarat. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 0.102 mtpa. It may be noted, the mine was closed for the last 10 years and the Barda Wildlife Sanctuary which is a habitat of leopard is at a distance of 2 km from the mine lease and Naliadhar Reserve forest is at a distance of 0.9km from the mine lease.
